Bathroom area

Although small, this place will feature a bathroom with a shower, sink, toilet and hopefully also a heated tower rack – if I find one that fits and looks the part. Stian from Karpenter brought some guys along, water-proofed the floor and put in flat-surfaced, Paris metro-style button mosaic. I opted for a tiny pattern as I think the are will be perceived larger than it actually is that way.

Strictly water proof materials will be used in the bathroom – properly treated metal, tile, grout, rubber, glass, plastic, stainless and aluminum. That way, it’s not such a big deal if shower water sprays all over the place (and it will).

Non-standard depth throne – all hooked up!

The plumber found me a pretty cool throne, slightly shallower than traditional units. As I’m chasing millimeters at every step of the project, such treats are much appreciated.

All in all, I’m super stoked about the setup, materials and work provided by the local handymen and it’s equally amazing to be able to properly conduct one’s business without having to step outside. Stay tuned for a post of the shower system coming up a bit later.
