My clever builder friend has slashed the price of a new roof build by close to 80%. Instead of erecting a scaffolding around the tower (12 meters high, 4 sides) he suggested we build the roof as 2 halves in his backyard.
Then, we’ll transport the roof sections to the tower on his friend’s truck – that by incident just sop happens to also feature a crane that reaches 35 meters up in the air. We’ll lift the roof halves in place with the truck, “receive” them from inside the tower and secure them with metal wires. I guess I’m just a sucker for ingenious solutions. SOLD!
